Senior Citizen Life Season Tickets

The Glentoran Board are pleased to announce that, after consideration, it has been decided to offer Senior Citizen  supporters ( those aged 65 and over) the opportunity to purchase a Life Season Ticket for £500.

This season ticket will entitle the owner to admittance to all Glentoran home matches as stipulated under yearly Season Ticket rules.

The owner will receive an official certificate and will have a name plaque on a seat at the Oval.

Under 12s All Ireland Champions!

The Under 12s departed for Dublin on Saturday knowing that a win would etch their names in the history books forever, and complete a remarkable Treble winning season!

The team bus set off from The Oval at 7.30am, but the early start was not going to deter the boys from ultimate glory. Having fallen short at the same stage last year after extra time, they displayed a professional attitude and burning desire to set the record straight from the word go.

Glentoran came away from Mourneview Park with all three points this afternoon thanks to goals from David Howland and David Scullion.  Manager Eddie Patterson gave debuts to right back Ryan O’Neill and striker Johnny Addis while Calum Birney came in at centre back in place of the injured Jay Magee.

Champions again.

Glentoran Ladies have lifted their sixth league title in 9 years which will again next year take them into  UEFA's Women's Champions League next summer and it was particularly pleasing for them to have lifted it at the Oval.

Glentoran travel to Mourneview Park, Lurgan to face a Glenavon side who put 6 goals past Ballymena United last weekend and who sit top of the pile after week 1. Richard Clarke, Jason Hill and Mark Miskimmin have to still sit this one out through suspension and Jay Magee and John McGuigan have both picked up knocks. However Ryan O'Neill and Johnny Addis are both available for selection.

The draw for the 2nd round of the NIFL League Cup was made this evening. Ties will be played on Monday 26th August 2013. Conformation of venue and kick-off time to follow.

1.       Killymoon Rangers / Lurgan Celtic v Donegal Celtic

2.       Cliftonville v H&W Welders / Armagh City

3.       Linfield v Knockbreda / Carrick Rangers

Foyle Cup on parade

Glentoran's U12 team paraded the Foyle Cup at the Oval yesterday ahead of the Danske Bank Premiership game between Glentoran and Coleraine.

The 2001 born lads are making a big name for themselves throughout Ireland, having won the Irish Cup 2 years in succession, and subsequently securing qualification to their 2nd All-Ireland Champions Cup Final next Saturday in Dublin.
