On Saturday night the Jason Hill testimonial dinner took place at the Ramada hotel. With dinner, entertainment, ballots and an auction as well as being full of fans, family, players and legends it’s safe to say it was a great night for all.
Some of the attendees included Michael O’Neil, Keith Gillespie, Roy Coyle, Scott Young, Paul Leeman, Colin Nixon, Johnny Jamison, Dean Fitzgerald, Gary Hamilton, Pete Batey , Kyle Neil, Tim McCann and many more!
The club would like to thank the many representatives of Glentoran Supporters Clubs provincewide who met with the Chairman and Directors in the McLean Suite before Saturday’s game against Glenavon.
Glentoran FC are delighted to announce that Jordan Stewart has signed a contract that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2015-16 season.
We're back at the Oval tomorrow and that means it's the return of the Glentoran Gazette ... and in the opinion of the editor it's the best one since he took over. If you grew up watching the Glens in the 90s, then two cult figures feature in this edition that will have you digging out your parka and strutting Liam Gallagher-esque down Mersey Street. In our regular 'Playing For Keeps' series, Philip Stevenson talks to Dutch maestro Guido Van de Kamp who, despite spending little more than a month at the Oval, is regarded as one of the best to ever pull on the Number One jersey.
It's third v fifth on matchday 16 of the Danske Bank Premiership with Glentoran facing Glenavon at the Oval. The sides met at Mourneview Park on 17th August with the East Belfast Glens winning 2-1. David Howland and David Scullion scored our goals on that occasion but both are currently on the injured list and along with Aaron Boyd, will sit tomorrow's game out.
GSC Meeting with the Directors.
The Board would like to invite 2 representatives of each Supporters Club to a meeting this Saturday at 2pm in the McLean Suite before our Danske Bank Premiership match v Glenavon.
This will be an opportunity for each Supporters Club to ask any questions about the running of the Club and follows an announcement at the last AGM by the Board to host meetings during the season with Supporters.
Ten man Glentoran moved into third place in the table after continuing their impressive run of form with this hard fought victory at Stangmore Park. Manager Eddie Patterson was forced into one change from last week’s trip to Ballymena, Stephen McAlorum coming in after suspension to replace Jim O’Hanlon who was suffering from a hamstring injury.
