Points shared at Ballymena

Sat, 09/03/2013 - 18:19

Glentoran and Ballymena United played out a 0-0 draw at a wet and windy Showgrounds this afternoon. The Glens were dealt a double blow before kick-off. Elliott Morris, who had missed training on Thursday evening with a neck injury, aggravated it in the warm up and had to be replaced by Aaron Hogg. It was a similar tale with Jay Magee who had been suffering with an ankle knock. Colin Nixon came into the back line for Magee.

Glens travel to Ballymena

Sat, 09/03/2013 - 11:34

Glentoran's league form of recent has seen the side jump from fighting for the split places, to 4th in the league table. Glentoran haven't lost in the league since 15th Januray, however that was against Ballymena Utd at The Oval. This form compiled with our place booked in the semi-final of the Irish Cup and beating St Pat's in the Setanta Cup has led to a happy time on the field of recent to counter the issues off it.

Eddie Patterson

Wed, 06/03/2013 - 08:45

Glentoran manager, Eddie Patterson, has been named as the NI Football Writers' "Manager of the Month" for February.

In February Glentoran were unbeaten in their 7 matches. In the Danske Bank Premiership we recorded 3 wins (v Portadown, Lisburn Distillery & Glenavon) and a draw (v LInfield). We'd also a 5-2 win at Bangor in the Irish Cup and a 1-0 aggregate win over St Pats in the setanta Sports Cup.

Congratulations to Eddie, his staff and the players.
