Supporters Clubs – Recognition Initiative
In the coming months we want to highlight the work and contributions our supporters clubs make to the continuing success of Glentoran Football Club. To ‘kick off’ the initiative we are starting with the Internet Glentoran Supporters Club and the Raven Glentoran Supporters Club.
Internet Supporters Club
The Board would wish to officially recognise and thank the Internet Supports Club for the enormous amount of work that has been undertaken by the Club over the past year and in helping us get up and running for the new season. In particular we would want to thank everyone involved in the Milk Bar and Superstore.
These are not just Saturday activities but entail many days and nights of effort to make sure supplies are in place as well as managing the receipt and distribution of kit, including the Kit and Suits for the Cup Final as well as taking care of the purchase of Season Tickets.
The provision of ongoing catering at no charge for the first and second XI’s at both home and away fixtures is greatly appreciated. In addition the Internet GSC provide catering for the board room, and although this is paid for by the individual board members, it is provided at cost with no charge for its preparation.
These activities, along with all of the other special events that the Internet run, have brought in much needed finance in the past year, finance without which the clubs ongoing viability would have been called into question.
All at Glentoran benefit from the efforts of Internet Club and on behalf of all our fans and the all our Teams we really appreciate and value the work and the contributions made.
Raven Glentoran Supporters Club
Thanks also to the ‘Raven’ for sponsorship throughout last season, including a very generous donation to Glentoran FC. The Raven GSC also very generously sponsored the Match Ball for the game with Ballinamallard on 24th September 2013.
