Glens leave it late

Sat, 04/01/2014 - 18:34

The dress rehearsal for next Saturday's big Irish Cup 5th round tie at Shamrock Park saw Glentoran leave it until added time to equalise after Portadown came from behind in an eventful encounter in east Belfast.

This week's Gazette

Fri, 03/01/2014 - 20:48

It's the first game at the Oval in 2014 and that means it's the first Glentoran Gazette of the New Year too.

And although it may be a new dawn, nothing much has changed here as you'll find another must-read edition of your award winning matchday programme.

In this issue we have a look at Glentoran Community Trust's painstaking replicating of supporters' clubs badges and feature a number of festive photos in our Home & Away picture section.

Bar info for Saturday

Thu, 02/01/2014 - 00:40

Happy New Year.

Good start to 2014 for us with the win against Dungannon Swifts but Saturday is a different game. Seen by many as a dress rehearsal for the Irish Cup game next weekend, we welcome Portadown to East Belfast and hoping to build on the momentum.

Dungannon Swifts 0-1 Glentoran

Wed, 01/01/2014 - 17:10

Glentoran made a couple of changes for today's game against Dungannon Swifts at a wet and windy Stangmore Park. Marcus Kane moved into the central midfield slot, vacated by the suspended Mark Clarke with David Scullion occupying the left midfield berth. Coming in at right back was Willie Garrett following his excellent displat for Glentoran Seconds against Linfield Swifts last Saturday.

Match Preview

Tue, 31/12/2013 - 11:54

Glentoran begin 2014 with a trip to Stangmore Park to face Dungannon Swifts. The clubs have met twice this season with the Glens coming out on top on both occasions.

On 5th October at the Oval, goals from Marcus Kane and Mark Miskimmin gave the Glens a 2-1 victory and it was the same scoreline when the sides met at Stangmore Park on 9th November. On that occasion Marcus Kane gave the Glens the lead only for Darren Boyce to equalise from the penalty spot minutes later. With Glentoran down to 10 men early in the second half, Jason Hill popped up with a late winner.

Boxing Day Gazette

Mon, 30/12/2013 - 18:02

Once again the Glentoran Gazette team came up with a fantastic publication for the festive fixture on Boxing Day.

Recognised as the leading football programme in the country for well over a decade now this, the 13th issue of the current season, was packed full of great articles, photographs and stats.
