Stalemate at Windsor

Sat, 31/08/2013 - 17:39

It was honours even at Windsor Park this afternoon in a game of few chances and with both sides finishing with ten men.  The tone was set for a niggly game when referee Arnold Hunter issued the first yellow card of the afternoon to Mark Clarke after just six minutes.

Match Preview

Fri, 30/08/2013 - 21:39

Tomorrow sees the first 'Big Two' fixture of the season and Glentoran manager, Eddie Patterson, will be hoping that his team maintain their unbeaten start to the season.  Our cross town rivals haven't had the best of starts as they try to wrestle back the Gibson Cup from Cliftonville but, as has been proven many times, form goes out the window in these fixtures.

Glens progress to 3rd round of League Cup

Mon, 26/08/2013 - 23:10

A first half penalty from Mark Miskimmin and Calum Birney header just after the hour were enough for the Glens to see off Ballyclare Comrades in what turned into a physical encounter at Dixon Park this evening. Elliott Morris again captained the team on what was his 500th appearance for the club. He'll also have been delighted to have marked the occasion with a clean sheet; his 190th for Glentoran.
