Glens Women hit eight at Seaview

Glentoran Women produced a superb display to record an emphatic 8–0 victory over Crusaders Strikers in the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership at Seaview.

The Glens made a blistering start, with Kascie Weir opening the scoring before quickly doubling her tally to put the visitors in command inside the opening quarter. Aimee Kerr then struck twice in quick succession to extend the lead to 4–0, before Jenna McKearney added a fifth with a composed finish just before the break.

Kelly relishing BetMcLean Oval return after injury

Glentoran midfielder Josh Kelly is determined to make the most of every opportunity as the Glens prepare for their first home game of the 2025/26 Sports Direct Premiership season against Bangor on Saturday (Kick-off: 3.00pm).

The 26-year-old made his first competitive start in almost 12 months in last weekend’s 1–0 victory away to Portadown, marking the end of a gruelling year-long battle with injury. Kelly missed the majority of last season after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in August 2024, an injury that required surgery and an intensive rehabilitation programme.

Glentoran Women sign Chloe McGlade

Glentoran Women are delighted to announce the signing of forward Chloe McGlade from Strabane Athletic Ladies.

The 27-year-old arrives at the BetMcLean Oval after an outstanding 2024 season in which she was named NIFWA Division Two Player of the Year for her prolific form in the Strabane-based club’s attack.

McGlade brings top-flight and international pedigree to the Glens, having previously spent three seasons with Sion Swifts Ladies, where she helped the Tyrone club lift the Irish Cup in 2017 before stepping back from senior football to focus on her accountancy career.

Glens draw Ards in County Antrim Shield

Glentoran will face Ards at the BetMcLean Oval in Round One of the ToalsBet.Com County Antrim Shield as the Glens begin the defence of their title.

Declan Devine’s side lifted the trophy last season after a dramatic penalty shoot-out victory over Larne in the final at Seaview. The Glens will now be aiming to make a strong start as they look to retain the Shield.

Round One ties are scheduled to take place on Tuesday 2nd September 2025

Tickets on Sale: Crusaders v Glentoran

Tickets are now available for Glentoran’s Sports Direct Premiership away fixture against Crusaders at Seaview on Saturday 23rd August (Kick-Off: 3pm).


Glentoran supporters have been allocated both the FonaCAB Stand and South Stand at Seaview.


Tickets must be purchased in advance via the Crusaders FC website: https://crusadersfootballclub.com/tickets

 

This is an all-ticket match. No cash turnstiles will be in operation on the day.

Glens storm into County Antrim Cup Semi-Finals

Glentoran Women booked their place in the last four of the County Antrim Cup in emphatic fashion, sweeping aside Cliftonville Ladies 6–0 at Solitude.

The holders blew the Women’s Premiership champions away with a relentless first-half display, racing into a 5–0 lead before the break and adding a sixth in the second half to complete a dominant performance in north Belfast.

Bodyscape named as Official Wellbeing Partner

Glentoran Football Club has announced a new partnership with leading Belfast based fitness and recovery facility, Bodyscape, who join the club as Official Wellbeing Partner for the 2025/26 season.

As part of the agreement, players from both the Men’s and Women’s First Team squads will benefit from full access to Bodyscape’s elite facilities across Bodyscape Health Club Shaw’s Bridge and Bodyscape Fitness Belfast City Centre.

This includes two state-of-the-art gyms, a 20-metre swimming pool with a sauna and steam room, along with a wide range of daily group fitness classes.

Glentoran launches inaugural Hall of Fame Awards

Glentoran Football Club has announced the launch of the inaugural Glentoran Hall of Fame Awards, taking place on Saturday 1st November 2025 at La Mon Hotel & Country Club.

The Glentoran Hall of Fame Awards, proudly sponsored by Macron, will be hosted by BBC NI presenter Joel Taggart and it will feature a three-course dinner, live entertainment and a celebration of the legendary players, managers and teams who have helped shape the history of Glentoran.
