Glentoran Football Club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of lifelong supporter Harry Clarke.
Harry, along with his brothers, was a familiar face around the BetMcLean Oval for many years and became well-known to generations of Glentoran supporters.
At one stage Harry served as chauffeur to striker John Colrain between 1966 and 1968, building a friendship that was fondly remembered when John’s family later met Harry and his wife Jo at a book launch.
Harry was also a proud and active member of the Glentoran Supporters' Committee (1923), where he served as President. He most recently joined the Glentoran family at our Centenary Celebration at Stormont.
The club extends our deepest sympathies to Harry’s brother Walter, his sons Paul and Stewart, and the wider family circle at this difficult time.
