Glentoran announce Macron as official kit partner

Glentoran Football Club has announced a new four-year partnership with Macron, the leading Italian sportswear brand, who will become the club’s official technical kit partner from the 2025/26 season.

The agreement will see Macron supply an extensive range of match kits, training wear and leisurewear to players and staff across all levels of the club, including Glentoran’s senior men’s and women’s teams, as well as its boys’ and girls’ Academy squads.

Glentoran confirms 2025/26 pre-season fixtures

Glentoran Football Club is pleased to confirm its pre-season schedule ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Supporters will have the opportunity to watch Declan Devine’s side in action both home and away, with a series of fixtures designed to prepare the squad for the demands of the new season.

Great Charity Night at Hillfoot GSC

Tonight saw one of the highlights in the calendar of the Hillfoot Glentoran Supporters’ Club each year.

The Hillfoot members run a charity night in memory of their late friend and fellow Glentoran supporter Andrew Higgins who passed some years ago. Last month the club premises hosted an annual pool competition in aid of a chosen charity. This year the chosen charity was Marie Curie and this evening the club was proud to be able to present  a cheque for £1889. An absolutely superb effort by the Hillfoot members and friends!

Glentoran pays tribute to Davy McKnight

Glentoran Football Club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of lifelong supporter David ‘Davy’ McKnight, who passed away peacefully at home on Sunday 8th June, aged 93.

A shareholder, season ticket holder and long-standing member of the Stormont Glentoran Supporters’ Club, Davy was previously part of the renowned ‘Cougars’ GSC and followed the Glens faithfully across Northern Ireland and beyond for many decades.

Glentoran and BetMcLean extend partnership

Glentoran Football Club has announced the renewal of its landmark partnership with BetMcLean, Northern Ireland’s largest independent bookmaker, as the club’s Official Main Partner through to the end of the 2026/27 season.

The two-year agreement will see the BetMcLean brand remain on the front of shirt for Glentoran’s senior men’s team and retain naming rights to the historic BetMcLean Oval, extending a relationship that now spans more than 15 seasons.

Glens Women progress in All-Island Cup after draw

Glentoran Women booked their place in the knockout stages of the Women’s All-Island Cup with a hard-fought 2-2 draw away to Treaty United on Saturday afternoon.

Kim Turner’s side made the long trip to Limerick knowing a point would be enough to top Group D and they got the job done in testing conditions at Jackman Park.

The hosts struck first through Isabella Flocchini on 28 minutes, but the Glens responded almost instantly as Mia Moore levelled just three minutes later.

Academy graduate Jude Johnson signs new Glentoran deal

Glentoran Football Club has announced that exciting young winger Jude Johnson has signed a new two-year contract at the BetMcLean Oval.

A product of the club’s Academy, the 18-year-old Johnson made his senior debut for the Glens against Cliftonville in February 2025 and was included in several first-team squads throughout last season.

Johnson was also instrumental in Glentoran Colts’ historic Harry Cavan Youth Cup triumph in April, scoring in the final as the side lifted the trophy for the first time in 30 years with a dramatic penalty shootout win over Linfield.

Josh Kelly signs Glentoran contact extension

Glentoran Football Club has announced that Josh Kelly has signed a new contract, extending his stay at The BetMcLean Oval until the end of the 2025/26 season.

The 26-year-old midfielder joined the Glens from Ballymena United in June 2023, having spent four seasons at the Showgrounds, captaining the Sky Blues to the Irish Cup Final in his final year

Kelly made 28 appearances during his debut season at The BetMcLean Oval and impressed throughout pre-season ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, quickly establishing himself as one of Declan Devine’s standout performers.

Glentoran pays tribute to Jim Stevenson

Glentoran Football Club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Jim Stevenson, a lifelong supporter and former Chairman of the Ballymacarrett Glentoran Supporters Club.

Jim was a dedicated Glentoran man through and through. Even when health challenges meant he could no longer attend matches in person, his love for the Glens never faded. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew him.

On behalf of everyone at Glentoran, we extend our sincere condolences to Jim’s family, friends, and all at the Ballymacarrett Glentoran Supporters Club.
