Glentoran Football Club has confirmed the renewal of its partnership with Future Ticketing, reinforcing the club’s commitment to a cutting-edge, mobile-first experience for supporters ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The new multi-year agreement sees Future Ticketing continue as Glentoran’s official digital ticketing partner, with the club benefiting from its cloud-based, API-first platform that provides full control over sales, data management and real-time reporting

Glentoran Women edged out in League Cup Final

Glentoran Women fell to a dramatic 4-2 defeat against Cliftonville Ladies in Sunday’s VBET Women’s League Cup Final at Seaview, despite holding a two-goal lead at the break.

A blistering first-half performance from the Glens saw Emily Wilson strike twice to put her side in control. The forward capitalised on a defensive error to slot home the opener inside four minutes, before latching onto a superb Demi Vance through ball to double the advantage just after the half-hour mark.

Glentoran Pays Tribute to Roy Welsh

Glentoran Football Club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former player Roy Welsh, who was laid to rest earlier today.

Roy joined the Glens from Distillery in 1967 and made an immediate and lasting impact. A powerful centre forward with a thunderous shot and commanding presence, he played a key role in securing the Irish League title in his debut season, quickly becoming a firm favourite with Glentoran supporters. Though he departed for Ards in 1970, his contribution to the club remains warmly remembered.

2025/26 Premiership Fixtures Released

The Northern Ireland Football League (NIFL) has today confirmed the preliminary fixture schedule for the 2025/26 Sports Direct Premiership season.

Glentoran’s full list of league fixtures is now available, with the campaign set to get underway on Saturday 9th August as Declan Devine’s side face Portadown at Shamrock Park to kick off another competitive season.

Patrick McClean set to join Sligo Rovers

Glentoran Football Club can confirm that an agreement has been reached with Sligo Rovers for the transfer of defender Patrick McClean, subject to international clearance.

The transfer, for an undisclosed fee, will be completed when the League of Ireland transfer window opens on 1st July.

Patrick joined Glentoran from Derry City in the summer of 2019 and went on to make 199 appearances for the Club, scoring 15 goals and playing his part in the Glens’ 2020 Irish Cup success.

Glentoran Women sweep aside Crusaders

Glentoran Women delivered another statement performance on Friday night, hitting five without reply past second-placed Crusaders Strikers to remain unbeaten and five points clear at the top of the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership.

It was a third win in just eight days for the in-form Glens, who followed up victories over Linfield and Derry City with another dominant display at the Blanchflower Stadium.
