The performances of the past week has almost been like a mini review of our season as Glentoran's Europa League dreams were ended by 2 extra-time goals at Solitude.

A season that started well as had us hoping to climb into that top 6 after a couple of very average years, but a late autumn slump saw us slip back again into a familiar position and one from which we failed to recover.

250 milestone for Moko

Thu, 09/05/2019 - 21:12

Congratulations to our skipper, Marcus Kane on making his 250th first team appearance for Glentoran in Tuesday evening’s Europa League Playoff semi-final win over Glenavon.

Shankill Road man Marcus has been one of the few constants in our first team squad since Eddie Patterson signed him from Linfield in July 2012. While at the Blues he made 19 appearances, scoring 2 goals. He also spent the 2011/12 season on loan to Carrick Rangers in the Danske Bank Premiership.

Glenavon 2-4 Glentoran

Wed, 08/05/2019 - 01:13

Glentoran saved what was by far their best performance of the season for the most important match to date in tonight’s Europa League Playoff Semi Final at Mourneview Park. No one can say this convincing win wasn’t deserved as the Glens started a high tempo attacking game and maintained it throughout, to set up a third Playoff Final visit to Solitude in four seasons.
