Hrvoje is August Player of the Month

Sun, 01/09/2019 - 19:07

Hrvoje Plum has celebrated his first month at Glentoran by winning the Glentoran Player of The Month for August.

Hrvoje won 26% of the supporters' vote in a keenly contested ballot after a month when he scored with a great strike against Coleraine and had a number of excellent efforts in our other games, particularly at Ballymena Showgrounds.

Mick McDermott said of the vote: “Hrvoje has given us a taste of what can do during this first month. Glentoran fans have always had a good eye for quality players and by their votes they reinforce this!

Match Preview: Glentoran v Institute

Sun, 01/09/2019 - 13:25

Monday 2nd September 2019, Kick Off 7.45 pm

On Monday we meet Institute at the Oval in a match rescheduled for Sky TV following the postponement of Linfield v Larne. We go in on the back of two consecutive wins – our heroics at Ballymena Showgrounds last week and our convincing midweek 5-1 home win over Ballyclare Comrades in the BetMcLean League Cup.

Institute are currently 11th in the table with three defeats and a draw from their first four games but had a very commendable draw with Coleraine to get things back on track after a difficult start.
