The Board of Directors of Glentoran Football Club are sad to hear of the death of Maxi Johnston, Chairman of the Castlereagh Glentoran Supporters Club. Maxi has been a familiar face and much loved character at both the Oval and our away games for many decades. The club offers deep and sincere condolences to Maxi’s wife Phyllis, sons Ian and Michael and daughter Ivy.

Warrenpoint Town 1-0 Glentoran

Sat, 14/04/2018 - 19:19

An injury time goal from Lorcan Forde gave the home side all 3 points in today's Danske Bank Premiership fixture and really Glentoran could have no complaints. Warrenpoint should have been in front at halftime and although the Glens performed better after the interval they failed to make the breakthrough and were eventually punished.

Warrenpoint Town v Glentoran

Saturday 14 April 2018, 3pm kick off

This weekend we stay in County Down with our second visit of the season to Milltown to play Warrenpoint Town.

Our last meeting at the end of February was a comfortable home 5-0 win in what turned out to be Matthew Tipton’s last game in charge of Point. Our goals that night were a Robbie McDaid hat trick and a double from Curtis Allen in one of our best performances of the season.

Ards 1-4 Glentoran

Sat, 07/04/2018 - 18:22

Two excellent penalties from Dylan Davidson turned today's game around and set Glentoran on their way to 3 points.

The first half was a tame affair and although Ards started the brighter it was the Glens who went closest to scoring through two Peter McMahon efforts, both of which went over the bar.

On 32 minutes a very poor tackle by Kyle Cherry on Marcus Kane saw the Glentoran skipper stretchered off with the Ards midfielder perhaps fortunate only to receive a yellow card!

Ross is Player of the Month

Tue, 03/04/2018 - 22:45

Ross Redman has been overwhelmingly voted the Glentoran Supporters' Player of the Month for March.

Ross played every minute of first team action in March and won the vote through some very strong performances on the left hand side, particularly his Man of the Match performance in our away draw with Linfield. He also committed his future to the club in March when he agreed and signed a two year contract extension that will keep him in East Belfast until at least May 2020.
