The Board of Directors of Glentoran Football Club are sad to hear of the death of Maxi Johnston, Chairman of the Castlereagh Glentoran Supporters Club. Maxi has been a familiar face and much loved character at both the Oval and our away games for many decades. The club offers deep and sincere condolences to Maxi’s wife Phyllis, sons Ian and Michael and daughter Ivy.
Gary Campbell, Hon Secretary of Castlereagh GSC, said on behalf of Maxi’s club: “It was with great shock and sadness that the officers and members of Castlereagh GSC learnt on Friday of the sudden death of their Chairman and friend Maxi Johnston, lifelong long Glenman and Castlereagh Member. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this sad time”
