We are delighted to announce that JT Inspires Trust has been nominated as Glentoran FC’s official club charity for 2013-14 season.
Jonathan Tate was among the 180 children born each year in Northern Ireland with congenital heart disease. He died last October aged 22, following transplant surgery.
A Glentoran supporter, Jonathan lived his life to the full, discovering that despite his condition he could enjoy the benefits of exercise and, remarkably, he went on to develop a career as a personal trainer, inspiring others and contributing to new research in this field.
The charity JT Inspires aims to carry forward Jonathan’s legacy.
JT Inspires aims to support research and improve experiences for young people with congenital heart disease; in particular the development of health, wellbeing and fitness initiatives to assist children, young people and young adults with congenital heart problems to improve their quality of life.
