The Northern Ireland Football League has held a workshop for clubs who want to improve and enhance their visibility and fan engagement on Twitter.
Facilitated by Alex Trickett, Head of Sport, Twitter UK, clubs from the Danske Bank Premiership and Belfast Telegraph Championship were given an insight into the practices used by clubs, associations and players from all around the world.
It is hard to believe but we are almost a quarter of the way through the 2014/15 season and this season is already shaping up to be a record breaker for the Academy!
To date we have had 42 players either currently in advanced trials with or selected for Northern Ireland squads at various ages from U11 to U19. The stand out stories here being 10 players at under 15 and 10 players at under 14 in the relevant NI squads - more than any other club!
Championship One leaders Bangor staged a giant-killing at The Oval to send Glentoran crashing out of the County Antrim Shield.
Glentoran got back to winning ways in an incident packed first visit to Milltown this afternoon. The drama began even before kick off as goalkeeper Elliott Morris, originally named on the team sheet, had to be replaced by Aaron Hogg as the Glens captain injured his back in the warm up.

Glentoran travel to Milltown Playing Fields tomorrow to face Warrenpoint Town. Having went down to both Crusaders and Coleraine in their past two Danske Bank Premiership fixtures, Eddie Patterson's side will be looking to bounce back and hopefully close the gap on some of the teams above them.
Everyone at Glentoran FC would like to wish Bertie Wright a very happy 95th birthday.
