Jordan Hughes

Thu, 07/08/2014 - 16:54

Jordan Hughes has had his Glentoran contract terminated by mutual consent.  We thank Jordan for his contribution during his time at the Oval and wish him well in his future career.

Glentoran 1 - 0 Ards

Tue, 05/08/2014 - 22:32

Jason Hill's testimonial game ended in a narrow Glentoran victory thanks to Kym Nelson's second half goal.  Jason was given a guard of honour by both teams before he took up his usual left back role in the familiar number 15 shirt.  There was little to employ Elliott Morris in the Glentoran goal in a first half where the Glens squandered a number of chances to take the lead.

Let's Try This Again!

Mon, 04/08/2014 - 22:18

Let's try this again!

After Saturdays washout, we return to the Oval where Ards make the short journey to east Belfast to face Glentoran in Jason Hill's Testimonial game.

The Premier Lounge will open at 6pm and all will be welcome. Why don't you stay behind after the game and meet the man himself when Jason will be in attendance.

Hopefully the Glentoran Family turn out in numbers to show their appreciation of No 15. After all, Jason gave nothing less than 110% every time he pulled on the Glentoran shirt.

Hope to see you all there!

Halfers Draw

Mon, 04/08/2014 - 12:20

Halfers draw tickets from Saturday's postponed Jason Hill Testimonial against Ards are still valid and will be included in the draw for the rearranged game on Tuesday evening.

Game still ON

Sat, 02/08/2014 - 12:25

Jason Hill's Testimonial game at the Oval kicks off this afternoon at 3pm.

Jason has given tremendous service to Glentoran over the years with 327 appearances and 17 goals to his name.

Glentoran will be facing Ards where Jason spent some time in the early part of his career.

Whilst the weather isn't the best, we've plenty of room in the covered stands and the bar & milk bar are open.

Carrick Rangers 0-2 Glentoran

Wed, 30/07/2014 - 22:03

Glentoran won their latest pre-season game 2-0 at Taylor's Avenue, Carrickfergus this evening. Jim O'Hanlon put the Glens in front with a neat finish after 13 minutes. Stand-in goalkeeper, Chris Keenan then did well to prevent a Carrick Rangers equaliser before the home side hit the upright on 25 minutes. Mark Miskimmin thought he'd doubled Glentoran's advantage on the half hour mark but the goal was ruled out for offside. Jordan Stewart was then unlucky to see his effort deflected onto the post on 36 minutes.
