Goals by Jordan Stewart, Jim O'Hanlon and a hatrick by Curtis Allen secured Glentoran a 5-1 win in Scotland against Ardeer Thistle. We would like to thank Ardeer for their hospitality and for what was a great trip for all.
It isn’t often that a team from Northern Ireland can claim rank amongst Europe’s Elite but for Glentoran’s U13 side this became a reality last week. Representing Northern Ireland in UEFA’s ALLtogether European Football Festival, Glentoran did battle with some of Europe’s top teams in Berlin under the shadow of the magnificant Olympiastadion.
The pre-season friendly against Derry City scheduled for next Monday, 21st July, has been called off due to Derry's Europa League commitments.

The superstore at The Oval will be open from 12PM - 5PM tomorrow (Friday 18th). It will be closed Saturday and Sunday and will open on Monday (21st) with hours to be confirmed. The new away kit as well as season tickets and other items can be purchased in store.
The superstore has just recieved stock of the new 2014/15 away kit! They will be open tonight from 9PM - 11PM to allow you to make sure you get one. Full stock of the training range is also avalible. They will also be opening tomorrow with times to follow.
If you are making the trip over to Scotland organised by Simon and Ruth, please meet at the Stenaline Terminal, West Bank Road, Belfast at 6:15am on Saturday morning. The coaches will meet us at the terminal and everyone must be checked onto the coaches before boarding the ferry to Cairnryan. The day trip bus will arrive in Stevenson at approx 11:45/12noon and will park at Ardeer Thistle's ground and will remain there until it leaves for the ferry home at approx 8:45pm/9pm. All the Daytrip fans can do as they wish until then. Kick off is at 2.30pm.
Glentoran recorded an easy victory in this evening's pre-season friendly at the Oval. David Scullion opened the scoring on 15 minutes with a header from Curtis Allen's cross and two great through balls from Stephen McAlorum were finished off by Fra McCaffrey and Jordan Stewart to put the Glens three up after 39 minutes. East Belfast pulled one back with a great finish by Stanley, but the Glens restored their lead almost immediately when Scullion capitalised on a mistake in the visitors' defence.
