We already provide you with regular match reports on our U20 team here on Glentoran.com and will endeavour to bring you up to date news and reports from our 16s and 18sas the season progresses.

Our under 18s, managed by Michael McClelland, have a very different look about them than last season's under 18s.

Warrenpoint Town 1-1 Glentoran

Sat, 29/09/2018 - 19:24

It was a draw which felt like a defeat.

Glentoran, leading from a 14th minute goal from John Herron and with the home side reduced to 10 men after 52 minutes, were unable to see the game out. But for the heroics of Elliott Morris in the final minute of stoppage time it could have been an even worse journey home for the travelling supporters.

Statement from the Board of Directors

Sat, 29/09/2018 - 09:29

First Trust Bank sold a historic debt owed by Glentoran Football Club earlier this year. This was done without any formal warning. Club shareholders were formally informed of this at the company AGM in June. Shareholders were also informed at the AGM of the actions in place to ensure the debt would be fully repaid by the club in an organised and structured manner.

The club was shocked that First Trust took the arbitrary decision to ignore its societal obligations by selling this historic debt without consideration for the impact of the decision on the community in East Belfast.

The popularity continues to grow from week to week with tours for our matches against Linfield and Ards fully sold out. We have a lot of history in our great beauty of a ground, something that people from far and wide are willing to come and see.
