Glentoran Women's eight game winning run finally came to an end tonight with a 5-3 home defeat by Linfield Ladies at The Oval, a result that clinched the leagiue championship for Linfield but which still leaves the Glens in runners up position with just one gam,e to play.
The Glens had a brilliant first half, going in 3-0 up at the break through goals from cup final hero Makyla Mulholland, Ali McMaster and Rachel Rogan. However the team tired in the second half of what was their second game in 48 hours and the Blues ran out comfortable winners with five goals in the second half.
