Elliott Morris was voted Glentoran 'Player of the Year' for 2013-14 by the fans. Castlereagh GSC organised the vote at today's game and the Glentoran club captain came out on top.
Stephen McAlorum was runner-up with Marcus Kane third. The top 5 was completed by Johnny Addis and Jay Magee.
Glentoran's final home game of the 2013-14 season ended with a 3-nil win over Crusaders. The Glens had taken just one point from the three previous Danske Bank Premiership fixtures against the Crues and with the squad missing a number of key players most feared the Shore Road outfit would come out on top again, especially as they are still chasing a Europa League spot.
It was a makeshift back four with Niall Henderson playing at right-back, the dependable Jason Hill at left-back and Willie Garrett & Steven Gordon playing in the centre of defence.
It's the final home fixture of the season as Glentoran welcome Crusaders to the Oval. It's the 4th meeting of the two sides in the Danske Bank Premiership with Glentoran still looking to register a win against the North Belfast outfit.
Crusaders had a very comfortable 3-nil victory when they visited the Oval in early September but the Glens responded well with a scoreless draw at Seaview in horrendous conditions just before Christmas. The Crues came out on top 2-1 in the final game before the split; Glentoran perhaps deserving a share of the spoils on the night.
The voting for the NEW 2014/15 Away Kit designs will commence at 12:30 pm on Saturday 19th April 2014 in the McLean Suite at the Oval. Supporters will also be able to vote online from 9am Monday 21st April. (Details will be available nearer the time).

CYCLING UP THE LEAGUE FOR NORTHERN IRELAND HOSPICE
Two football enthusiasts Sean Maguire and Pearse Flynn are ticking a challenge off their pre thirty bucket list and cycling 250 miles around the Danske Bank Premiership Clubs between 17th and 19th April in aid of the Northern Ireland Hospice ‘Buy a Brick’ appeal to rebuild Somerton House.
Boxing training has started for the GCT/GFC La Mon Hotel Boxing Event, and tickets will go on sale at the Oval this Saturday 19th April v Crusaders.
