Pre Season Fixtures Confirmed

The club is delighted to announce its schedule of pre-season friendlies, starting with the Marcus Kane Testimonial match v St Mirren and including a pre-Europe meeting with Kilmarnock and games with Bangor, H&W Welders, Dundela, East Belfast and Portadown. .

Our games in the first qualifying round of the Europa Conference League will take place on July 13th and 20th with the draw taking place on June 20th. This schedule has been planned to give the players the best possible preparation for Europe, with two games v SPFL opposition.

Glentoran Inclusion Cup 2023

The Glentoran Inclusion Team will be hosting The Glentoran Cup on Saturday, 29th July at Newforge Sports Complex, Belfast.

We are delighted that Connswater, Rio Ferdinand Foundation, and Jordan’s Gift will be part-sponsor of this event that will include disability and inclusion teams from England, Scotland, and the Republic of Ireland.  It is anticipated that roughly 300 participants will take part in the tournament organised by Glentoran Academy.

The holders survived a tricky period in the second half to clinch their place in the semi-final of the Toals’ County Antrim Cup tonight at Midgeley Park tonight.

Glentoran went in a goal ahead at the break despite dominating play in the first half. The only early chance falling to Nadene Caldwell, but her penetrating run was blocked by Lauren Currie in the Blues’ goal. But despite dominating possession, the Glens were up against a packed and effective defence for most of the half.

Ballymena United Women 0-9 Glentoran Women

Glentoran went sole top of the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership tonight with another comfortable and big win that maintained the Glens’ 100% start to the season after six games.

The Glens made five changes from Friday’s home win over Lisburn Ladies, most notably Sarah Tweedie and Jenna McKearney given their chance in the full back positions. Ellie Scott, Joely Andrews and Kerry Beattie also returned. Nadene Caldwell captained a starting line-up that really demonstrated Glentoran’s strength in depth this season.
