Milestone for Stevie

Sun, 14/04/2019 - 18:18

Congratulations to Stevie Gordon on making his 150th first team appearance in yesterday's draw with Ards.

Stevie joined the Glens from Glenavon (for whom he made a number of first team appearances under Gary Hamilton in 2011/12 season) in summer 2012, making his debut the following December as substitute for Jimmy Callacher in a 5-0 home league win over Donegal Celtic.

Ards 1-1 Glentoran

Sat, 13/04/2019 - 20:09

There will be mixed feelings after today's 1-all draw against Ards in the Danske Bank Premiership. Relief that we are still in that crucial 7th position in the table which would ensure a Europa League play-off spot but disappointment that we couldn't capitalise more on Institute's defeat at Dungannon. Gavin Peers returned to the starting line up following his suspension with skipper, Marcus Kane moving to left back and Steven Gordon going to left back. Nathan Kerr dropped to the bench.

Academy players step up to senior Glens Women squad

Mon, 08/04/2019 - 20:28

Glentoran Women have an incredible record of bringing through academy youngsters every season, and this year is no different.

Congratulations to Aimee-Lee Peachey (above), Joely Andrews, Danielle Maxwell, Kerry Beattie, Katie Stanfield and Olivia Marshall who have recently received squad numbers for the 2019 season.

At the tender age of only 16 years old, the required age to play senior womens premiership football, some of these girls joined the squad midway through last season as soon as their birthdays fell suit.
