Glentoran Women have an incredible record of bringing through academy youngsters every season, and this year is no different.
Congratulations to Aimee-Lee Peachey (above), Joely Andrews, Danielle Maxwell, Kerry Beattie, Katie Stanfield and Olivia Marshall who have recently received squad numbers for the 2019 season.
At the tender age of only 16 years old, the required age to play senior womens premiership football, some of these girls joined the squad midway through last season as soon as their birthdays fell suit.
Following her birthday in July Aimee-Lee Peachey joined the squad and remained in the starting 11 for the remainder of the season. She was also a major influence in our Irish Cup Final winning team who beat Linfield 2-1 at the National Stadium with her solid performance at the back. Danielle Maxwell, who made an appearance as a sub and Joley Andrews were also part of our record breaking, 7th time, Irish Cup Winners squad.
We would like to congratulate all six girls on their graduation and we hope to have many more successful years with their involvement.
