It's still all to play for in the Setanta Sports Cup for Glentoran and St Pats as the sides fought out a 0-0 draw in Dublin in the first leg of the tie. Chances were few and far between for both sides. Killian Brennan went close for the home side in the first half but the Glens almost grabbed the lead just before the break when John McGuigan broke clear and set up Richard Gibson. St Pats' keeper, Brendan Clarke was quickly out to deny the Glens striker.
Glentoran fans will be looking forward to a trip to Dublin tomorrow evening to play one of the best footballing sides on the island in St Pat's Athletic. St Pat's are currently in pre-season before they kick off their league campaign in March. The two fixtures against Glentoran will be Pat's first two competitive fixtures of the new season as they look to put their new squad into practice. St Pat's finished in 3rd position in the League of Ireland last season, some distance off the winners Sligo Rovers.
