Elliott Morris and Mark Clarke sign on

Both Elliott Morris and Mark Clarke have extended their contracts at Glentoran.

On the back of the Irish Cup success Elliott Morris has signed a 2 year extension to his current contract, keeping him at the club until 2016. Mark Clarke has signed a 1 year extension. As two key members of the first XI, everyone at the club is delighted that both players, having witnessed the progress being made at the club, were very keen to put pen to paper and commit their futures to Glentoran.

 

Club show support for sponsor McLeans

Glentoran players turned up on the Holywood Road on Saturday morning with the Irish Cup. They were there for the opening of McLeans refurbished shop and posed for photographs with fans and the trophy.

On Friday evening at their closing meeting of the season, Victoria GSC made a presentation to Elliott Morris to mark his testimonial season. Members and guests enjoyed supper in the company of the Irish Cup.

Season Tickets Update

Season tickets are on sale in the Glentoran Superstore now.

Purchase your ticket for next season before this Saturday 1st June and take advantage of the May discount. Season tickets purchased in June will be £5 more expensive and after June they will be a further £5 more expensive.

Support the Irish Cup WInners starting with a UEFA Europa League fixture in July.

NIFPCC Programme Fair 2013 TODAY

The Northern Ireland Football Programme Collectors Club Programme Fair 2013 will take place today, 25th May in Grosvenor House, 5 Glengall Street, Belfast from 10am - 2.30pm.

Admission is £1.

'Programme of the Year' award - Come along and see if the Glentoran Gazette can make it 14-in-a-row.

Programmes, badges and other Glentoran merchandise will be on sale.  

Three Move On

Glentoran Football Club have announced that the playing contracts of Eamonn Murray, Kyle Cherry and Matty Johnston will not be renewed for the coming season.  The Board of Directors would like to place on record their thanks to all three for their contribution to the Club and wish them every success in their future footballing careers.

It is well known that during the season just passed the Club struggled financially to keep things going. Historical debt and reduced income lead to a very well documented difficult season off the pitch. However we have a great group of loyal and generous Supporters Clubs that show why Glentoran remain one of the best supported Club' in Northern Ireland and we want to thank you all for your financial support. 

Here is just one example as John Scott Chairman of the Hillfoot Club presents a cheque for £1,000 to the Chairman, Terence Brannigan and Board member, Aubry Ralph.

Academy Awards Day 2013

Last Saturday each of Glentoran's Academy sides piled their way into Cooke Rugby Club for the annual prize giving awards. Academy Director Conor Marlin addressed the packed crowd before Glentoran Chairman Terrance Brannigan spoke of the importance the club intends on placing on academy matters going forward for the foreseeable future. Glentoran manager Eddie Patterson and Assistant Paul Trainor were both in attendance alongside a number of first team squad members.
