We are delighted to announce that the Glentoran supporter who will push the button to begin production of the Glentoran 130th anniversary shirt is East Belfast man Craig Gamble. Craig purchased shirt 9/130 and his number was drawn out by Glentoran manager Eddie Patterson prior to our game against Ballinamallard.  Craig will now join us at the headquarters of Kukri  Ireland, where he will be asked to start the production process.  As part of his prize Craig will travel to and from Kukri’s Lisburn headquarters courtesy of our friends at fonaCab.

Glens hit 4 in Ballinamallard

Wed, 05/09/2012 - 00:11

Despite being unbeaten in the Danske Bank Premiership so far this season, Glentoran started nervously against Ballinamallard at Ferney Park and could have gone behind early on. In the opening minute, hesitation from Elliott Morris allowed Andy Crawford to steal the ball from him but the striker failed to find the target. Chris Curran got the better of Marcus Kane in the 3rd minute before going down in the area but referee, Hetherington waved away the penalty claims.

At last Saturday's game we'd an extra prize available for those purchasing a ticket from the Halfers draw. The East Belfast Arts Festival generously donated a pair of free tickets for the Big Top Festival on Saturday 8 September, headlined by Van Morrison. David Griffiths and his wife Dee were the lucky winners of the tickets for the event and are pictured here with Margaret Stewart who (along with her husband John) sells the tickets at each home game on behalf of the Glentoran Supporters Committee 1923.

Sat, 01/09/2012 - 17:17

It was honours even at the Oval this afternoon as a Billy Joe Burns equaliser cancelled out Andy Waterworth’s first half goal.  The windy conditions played their part, with the Glens taking the lead with the breeze at their backs and Linfield exerting more pressure after the break.

The Glentoran Partnership

On Tuesday morning, 28th August, The Glentoran Partnership was the subject of a "winding up" order initiated by Land & Property Services.

Whilst this is a matter of extreme regret, we wish to make it clear that this does not in any way affect the legal or financial status of Glentoran FC.
