Glentoran Seconds will travel to face Crumlin Star in round 4 of this season's Steel & Sons Cup. The Seconds, with wins against Sirocco Works (3-1) and St. Patrick's YM (3-0) already this season, will play their next fixture in the competition on Saturday 28th September.

Cliftonville maintained their lead at the top of the table with this comprehensive victory over Glentoran at Solitude this afternoon. Eddie Patterson gave striker Aaron Boyd his first start in an attempt to improve the visitors’ fire power but it was the reigning champions who found the net after just three minutes. Liam Boyce found Chris Curran wide on the right, his low cross into the box was met by Boyce’s run and the Cliftonville striker steered the ball home from eight yards. Following a first domestic defeat of the season last weekend at home to Crusaders, Glentoran now face a difficult trip to play Cliftonville at Solitude this weekend in the Danske Bank Premiership. The Glens will be without Calum Birney who picked up an ankle injury against the Crues and Mark Miskimmin (ankle) is also rated as doubtful. Striker Aaron Boyd could make his first start for Glentoran though having tasted first team action briefly as a substitute last weekend.
The PSNI have issued the following advice for fans travelling to Cliftonville for Saturday's Danske Bank Premiership fixture.
Glentoran Fans travelling by private car to Cliftonville Football Club for the 3pm kick-off on Saturday 14thSeptember 2013 are requested to park in the residential areas above Solitude off the Cliftonville Road- ie Cardigan Drive and Knutsford Drive etc. Motorists should consider local resident and emergency vehicle access when deciding where and how to park.

A poor second half performance from Glentoran saw them slump to their first defeat of the season as Stephen Baxter's Crusaders side romped to a 3-0 victory.
However it was the home side who fashioned the first chance after just two minutes when Stephen McAlorum played Johnny Addis through on goal however his finish lacked direction and Sean O'Neill saved easily. Crusaders almost hit back six minutes later as Paul Heatley drew a smart stop from Elliott Morris in the Glentoran goal.
Despite heavy rain overnight, today's match is still on!
