Glentoran 2-2 Coleraine

Sat, 18/08/2018 - 18:58

Following a fantastic strike from Peter McMahon, Coleraine grabbed a late equaliser at the Oval on matchday 3 of the Danske Bank Premiership.

Glentoran came back to lead after going a first half goal behind but for the second home match in a row a very late and avoidable goal deprived us.

The Glens started today’s match with an unchanged starting line up for the third game in a row. New signings Sam Byrne and Joe Crowe started on the bench.

Match Preview - Glentoran v Coleraine

Glentoran v Coleraine

Saturday 18th August 2018, Kick Off 3pm

On Saturday we face one of the biggest challenges of the season with a visit from Irish Cup winners Coleraine.

Our record against Coleraine over the past couple of years has been a poor one as Saturday’s opponents have gone from strength to strength in both league and cup.  However we can take encouragement from our performance in the corresponding game last season when we were unlucky only to get a scoreless draw from the game.
