Glentoran host Warrenpoint Town at the Oval tomorrow as they look to end a run of three straight league defeats.

Following consecutive setbacks at the hands of rivals Linfield and Dungannon Swifts, the East Belfast side’s latest defeat came last week as they threw away a two goal lead to lose against reigning champions Crusaders.

The Glens were also reduced to 10 men as the current league leaders fought back to claim a 4-2 win, extending their Premiership unbeaten streak between the sides at Seaview to nine.

Glentoran 4-1 Ards

Tue, 19/01/2016 - 23:52

Glentoran supporters were in need of a lift following a dismal run of results over the Christmas and New Year period and they got it tonight with an emphatic 4-1 victory over Ards in the Tennents Irish Cup, with Chris Lavery netting a hattrick in a 'Man of the Match' home debut.

Crusaders 4-2 Glentoran

Sat, 16/01/2016 - 21:18

On a weekend in which half the Dankse Bank Premiership fixtures fell victim to the wintry conditions Crusaders weathered an early Glentoran storm to fight back and win 4-2 at Seaview this afternoon. The Glens raced into a deserved 2-0 lead with a Curtis Allen double but were pegged back with two goals just before the interval and Crusaders then dominated from that point. Alan Kernaghan made three changes to the team that lost on New Year’s Day at Dungannon with Steven Gordon missing out through suspension while Jonathan Smith and Niall Henderson dropped to the bench.
