Support the Glens’ Irish Cup Defence
Glentoran make a delayed start to our Tennent’s Irish Cup defence on Tuesday night at 7.45pm with the rearranged home tie against our near neighbours, Championship 1 league leaders Ards.
This game should give supporters their first chance to see new loan signing Chris Morrow and a home debut for our other new signing, Chris Lavery. Having picked up 5 yellow cards, central defender Jonny Addis is suspended as is Ciaran Caldwell following his red card against Crusaders on Saturday. This could mean a first start for Calum Birney since he scored twice at Dungannon on 26 September last year.
Everyone at Glentoran would like to enourage all supporters to come out both to support the team in this vital cup tie and also to thank the small army of volunteers who have worked tirelessly over the past 10 days to make the pitch playable. Your club needs you.
