Legends pay their final respects to Ron

Wed, 27/06/2018 - 19:52

The funeral service for Glentoran legend Ron Manley was held at Roselawn at noon today. To add to the poignancy of this very sad occasion Ron's coffin was carried into the crematorium by his friends and team mates from the great Glens teams of the 1980s. There could be no more fitting tribute to Yorkie.

Yorkie: A Personal Appreciation

Fri, 22/06/2018 - 19:42

There are some players you just identify with more than others. Ron Manley was one of mine and I’m sure for lots of my generation. He was part of so many great days in his 13 years as a first teamer that it’s impossible for anyone of our generation not to feel a real sense of loss at yesterday’s news.
