Colin Jess                                               Ian Kerr

Following the recent AGM of the club, Glentoran Football Club announces two changes to the current Board structure:

Ian Kerr has left the Board after nearly 11 years as a Director. Ian has been Vice Chairman since 2014. During his tenure Ian occupied a number of key positions, including Finance Director. Most recently he has had responsibility for liaising with politicians and creditors over the proposed redevelopment of The Oval. Ian has agreed to continue to serve the club as a Non Executive Director and will remain fully involved in all matters relating to stadium redevelopment. On resigning his directorship Ian said: “It has been an honour and privilege to serve this club over the past decade and I look forward to continued involvement as we seek to secure the future of the club through a redeveloped stadium here in East Belfast."

Ian has been replaced as Vice Chairman by Colin Jess. Colin joined the Board in December 2016 and has been responsible for commercial activities and supporter liaison. Colin said of his new appointment: "It is an absolute honour to be nominated by my fellow directors to the post of Vice Chairman of Glentoran Football Club.  I look forward to taking on this role and to play my part in the clubs future development and re-establishing it as a major force in Irish League football. I would like to express my personal thanks to my predecessor Ian Kerr for his unstinting work and support of the club over the past 11 years".

The Board of Directors congratulate Colin on his appointment and sincerely thank Ian for his immense contribution and efforts during some of the club's most difficult days. The Board is also pleased that Ian will remain with the club in his new capacity."
