Following the disappointment of our unfortunate home defeat on Monday night, we have the opportunity to bounce back with a visit to League Champions Crusaders on Saturday.

On Saturday 6th October, Glentoran Football Club was formally presented with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.
The award was presented by the Vice Lord Lieutenant of Belfast, Sir Nigel Hamilton at a ceremony kindly compered by Pete Snodden of Cool FM and attended by over 100 of our loyal volunteers in the Premier Lounge at the Oval.
Glentoran lost 0-1 to Linfield at a blustery Oval on Monday night, unable to recover from an early Linfield goal in tonight's Danske Bank Premiership match.
Glentoran pressed well throughout the first half forcing a number of half chances, the best effort coming from an athletic overhead kick from John Herron.

On Monday night we welcome our old rivals Linfield to the Oval for one of the most eagerly awaited League “Big Two” matches for a few years.
The Blues have started well and currently sit second in the table, four points behind Glenavon but with a game in hand, We in turn have a game in hand over Linfield and sit just six points and two places behind in fourth place. With just one defeat in seventeen league games involving the two clubs there’s a genuine sense of anticipation,
Tickets are NOT required for the upcoming Danske Bank Premiership game against Linfield, to be played at the Oval on Monday 8th October.
All home supporters who opt for the Main Stand and visiting supporters who opt for the Railway Stand will be issued with a ticket at the turnstiles.
These MUST be shown to gain access to the stands. Security personnel will be placed at each of the entrances to check tickets.

The 30th annual Ballymac GSC Player of the Year Awards were held on Saurday 6th October in the Ballymac clubrooms.
Conor Pepper has been voted September Glentoran Supporters Player of the Month. This is Conor's second successive win in the poll.
Conor was a convincing winner with 66% of the vote. Runner up was Calum Birney with 17%. Others on the shortlist were Elliott Morris and Robbie McDaid.
During the month Conor also gave the club and supporters a great boost by extending his contract until the end of tyhe 2019/20 season.
Tickets for our Co Antrim Shield game against Linfield at the National Stadium on Tuesday 23rd October will be on sale from the Glentoran Superstore at tomorrow night's Danske Bank Premiership match with Linfield.
Prices are £11 adult and £7 concession.
