We regret to announce the passing of our former Safety Officer, Tommy Campbell who passed away on Friday morning. He was 72.
Tommy was a fixture around the Oval for most of his life, becoming a Steward in 1964 and then serving as the club's Safety Officer.
Congratulations to our U20 players Paul McLaughlin, Jamie Glover, Mal Smith and Lewis McGarvey (below left to right), who have been selected for the Northern Ireland Schoolboy International U18 squad for two friendly Internationals and the series of International games in the Inspiresport Centenary Shield. This is a reflection of the performances of all four boys playing for the Glentoran Under 20s this season and their consistent and exciting progress through the various youth levels at Glentoran Academy.
Tonight's match with Newry City has been postponed following a pitch inspection.
It has been rearranged for Tuesday next, 5th February at 7:45pm, again at Newry Showgrounds.

On Friday evening we make another attempt to visit Newry Showgrounds for the first time since our 4-3 away league win on 12th March 2011. We also face Newry City for the second time in two weeks.

Goals from new signing Pearse McVarnock and (no surprise here) Paul O'Neill gave Glentoran U20s a deserved 2-1 home league win over Linfield tonight.

Glentoran staged a bit of a second half fightback at the National Stadium this evening but ended up with nothing to show for their efforts. Yet again slack defending and ill discipline proved costly to the East Belfast side.
