Skipper, Colin Nixon also gives his opinion of the game and provides an update on his fitness, whilst his week’s player interview is with central defender, Jay Magee.

Glentoran v Lisburn Distillery- Preview

This Saturday, Glentoran legend Tim McCann makes his first return to The Oval since being appointed as manager of Lisburn Distillery in the summer. McCann who had two playing spells at the Oval made 281 appearances for the club and went on to be a member of the coaching staff after his retirement. For the last couple of seasons McCann was assistant manager to Scott Young before getting his break this summer in his first managerial role. Always a fan favourite, Tim will undoubtedly receive a warm reception on his return to his former home.

We welcome a few Glentoran Legends back to the Oval this Saturday in Tim McCann, Gary Smyth and Michael Halliday, along with their teammates and fans of Lisburn Distillery. Whilst all Glentoran supporters will welcome them 'home' the hospitality ends when the whistle blows at 3pm. Then it's down to business and hopefully 3 more points to our total!

Glentoran FC are currently looking for a suitably qualified and experienced person to undertake the role of Director; The Glentoran Academy (The Academy).

Seconds In Action On Wednesday

Glentoran Seconds are in Steel and Sons Cup action on Wednesday night at the Oval.  Spike Hill's Wee Glens take on Sirocco Works managed by former Glentoran player Darren Lockhart.  Why not come along and see who moves a step closer to the Christmas morning final?  The game will be played to a finish with extra time and penalties if required.  Kick off is 7.30pm.

Admission price is £2. Children are free.

Friendly arranged with Bangor

A friendly game between a Glentoran XI and Bangor has been arranged for Monday night (17th Sept) at the Oval with a 7.30pm kick-off. Manager, Eddie Patterson, is keen to give some players game time and will use this opportunity to give Stuart Elliott his first run out at the Oval since he returned to the club.

Admission is £2. Children are free.
