New contract for Herron

We are delighted to announce that John Herron has committed himself to the club by signing a new contract this weekend.

Mick McDermott:  “We are happy that John has made the decision to remain with our club. We know he had offers from clubs both inside Ireland and overseas but his desire to stay with Glentoran was strong.  He shares our vision of moving towards a fulltime setup.

Glentoran add two new signings

Glentoran have added two Croatian players to the squad ahead of the new season, goalkeeper Marijan Antolovic (30) and midfielder Hrvoje Plum (25). 

Both previously played for NK Osijek.

The players featured in the recent pre-season friendly game at the Oval when the Glens drew 1-1 with St. Johnstone.

Legend Elliott Accepts New Role

We are delighted to announce that Elliott Morris has agreed to accept a new role as Goalkeeper Coach role with the club while remaining a member of the first team squad.

Elliott, who has made 731 first team appearances and won no fewer than 13 trophies  in his 17 seasons at Glentoran, was welcomed onto the coaching team by Head Coach Mick McDermott:

Demi is Player of the Month

GLENTORAN'S Demi Vance has been named NIFWA Women's Player of the Month for June.
Vance scored two quick-fire goals in the Women's League Cup final last Friday night, as the Glens recorded a 2-0 win over Sion Swifts at Seaview.
The midfielder also registered a goal in the Danske Bank Women's Premiership, with Glentoran finishing the month unbeaten. 
A delighted Vance said, "It's a fantastic honour to win this award. I'd like to thank the Football Writers' for their support.
