Glentoran Women hit back in the best possible manner tonight for the loss of their league title, with a 2-1 win over new champions Cliftonville at Solitude.

After Glentoran gave the Reds a guard of honour, they demonstrated their determination straight from kick off as star international midfielder Joely Andrews netted the opener with three minutes played with a superb effort from 25 yards which flew over Rachel Norney in the Cliftonville goal.

The Raven Glentoran Supporters Club are very saddened by the passing of our member, Eddie Smith (95) at the weekend.

Eddie was one of life's gentlemen, as the saying goes: he wouldn't pass you!

Two second half goals in three minutes enabled Glentoran to see off a very competitive Loughgall side tonight in the Bet McLean Cup Quarter Final to extend our winning run to fourteen games in all competition.

In a much-changed team from Friday’s win over Larne, the Glentoran support had a very pleasant surprise in seeing Luke McCullough make his first appearance in twelve months, following his recovery from a cruciate injury.

Glentoran are top of the Danske Bank Premiership after a comprehensive victory at the Bet McLean Oval this evening.

Before kick-off there was a minute's applause as both sets of players, the staff and supporters remembered former Irish League footballer, Frankie Wilson who sadly lost his battle with cancer.
