Cliftonville v Glentoran

The following advice has been issued by the PSNI for supporters attending the JBE League Cup quarter final tie at Solitude.

Glentoran Fans travelling by private car to Cliftonville Football Club for the JBE League Cup quarter-final (7:45pm kick-off) on Wednesday 18th November 2015 are requested to park in the residential areas above Solitude off the Cliftonville Road - ie Cardigan Drive and Knutsford Drive etc. Motorists should consider local resident and emergency vehicle access when deciding where and how to park.

Glentoran Legends support Reverse Rett

Last Friday evening, on a harsh night weather wise, the Glentoran Legends XI made a very welcome return to the Oval in a very special fundraiser in aid of the Glentoran FC chosen charity for this year, Reverse Rett. The opposition on the night were the members of the Freelance GSC, who to a man paid to play in the game, with all the funds going to the charity. A terrific gesture by all concerned.

Despite the conditions, both sides put on a great display for the sizeable crowd who came down to support the charity.

Alan Kernaghan, appointed by the board on Monday, takes charge of Glentoran for the first time as they prepare battle with reigning champions Crusaders.

While searching for a new manager, Director of Football, Roy Coyle stepped in as caretaker and helped the Glens collect seven points in their last three Danske Bank Premiership games.

Kernaghan faces a challenging start at the helm as his side tackle current league leaders Crusaders at Seaview.

Glentoran FC Chaplain, Rev. David Thompson led a short act of Remembrance at the Oval this evening.

The Chairman, Stephen Henderson laid a poppy wreath at the Thomas Pearson Memorial inside the Directors' entrance.

A short act of Remembrance will be observed at the Oval on Wednesday 11th November 2015 at 8pm.

Glentoran FC Chairman, Stephen Henderson will lay a wreath on behalf of the club and will be assisted by the club Chaplain, Rev. David Thompson.

This is open to anyone who wishes to attend.
