Glentoran FC is pleased to announce that two of our promising young players – Patrick Cafolla and Karl Hamill – have signed their first professional contracts with the club.
Patrick and Karl are both 18 and from Newtownards and have been with the club since close season 2013. They both made their first team debuts last season and are regulars in the Northern Ireland Under 18 international squad.
The boys’ Under 20 manager Mark Clougherty said of their progress: “Paddy and Karl are two level headed boys who are an absolute pleasure to work with. They are always willing to listen and learn and will give nothing less than 100% to achieve their goals. They have developed and progressed each year and if they continue to do so, then there's absolutely no reason why they won't be regular Glens first team players in the near future.”
