Tomorrow evening Glentoran Women will be at Seaview, hoping to reverse last year’s defeat in the Quarter Final of the Toal’s County Antrim Cup.
As reigning holders the Glens suffered a 2-1 defeat at the same venue in the same round last season, having proudly won this cup for the previous 3 seasons, so they’ll certainly take the Crues seriously tomorrow night.
Last month the 2 teams met for an early season tussle at the Blanchflower in the league. That one ended with a 6-0 home win, our goals coming from Rachel Rogan (2), Emily Wilson, Demi Vance, Aimee Kerr and Kerry Beattie.
Head Coach Kim Turner spoke to www.glentoran.com ahead of the game : “It's a quick turnaround for us after a hard fought league win at Lisburn on Friday evening - but after a day's rest on Saturday and training today, we feel we are ready to go again.
Progressing in the cup is important for us, so we will be going out and approaching this game as we would any other..”
