Match Preview

Glentoran return to mid-Ulster this evening in confident mood following the excellent victory over Portadown in the Irish Cup last Saturday. Glentoran and Glenavon have met twice previously in this season's Danske Bank Premiership with the East Belfast side taking all 3 points at Mourneview Park in August; David Howland and David Scullion netting in a 2-1 win. In mid-November the two sides played out a goalless draw at the Oval.

Manager Eddie Patterson has Jay Magee available after his one match suspension however Mark Clarke is unavailable as he begins a 6 match ban. David Scullion missed last Saturday's game with a hamstring strain and remains doubtful and Elliott Morris has also picked up a knock which may see him miss out. Jim O'Hanlon is also out of contention following events at the weekend. For the home side; player-manager Gary Hamilton has a 1-match ban so has to sit this one out.

Kick-off at Mourneview Park is 7:45pm.
