A late Fra McCaffrey penalty settled Glentoran's latest pre-season friendly game on Saturday.
Knockbreda provided a guard of honour for the Irish Cup winners before kick-off.
The first half was largely uneventful with both keepers seeing little action.
With just 5 minutes remaining Conor McMenamin was bundled over in the area and Fra McCaffrey stepped up to send the Konckbreda keeper the wrong way and give Glentoran the lead.
In the dying moments Aaron Hogg was at full stretch to turn the ball around the post and prevent a potential equaliser.
