The era of Mick McDermott as Glentoran Head Coach starts on Saturday against the team that effectively ended the second Ronnie McFall era as Glens Manager with their 2-4 win at the Oval on New Year’s Day.
In his first extended interview, Mick spoke last night to David Kerr of GlensTV and Digivibe Media. Interviews of this nature will be a regular occurrance as Mick's plans as Head Coach start to take shape.
Paul Millar has re-joined Glentoran as a member of the coaching team in Mick McDermott’s first appointment since becoming our Head Coach at the weekend.
2019/20 Season Tickets will go on sale this Thursday 4th April 2019 from Glentoran Superstore. After careful consideration re prices etc, the board of directors have decided NOT to increase prices for the 2019/20 season.

We're delighted to announce that U20s midfieder Sean Og Gallagher has been called uP to the Northern Ireland Under 18 Schoolboy squad for the forthcoming Centenary Shield matches against England (away) and Republic of Ireland (home). This is a very deserved honour for Sean who has had a great season in our Under 20 team and recently made his first team debut in our home win over Warrenpoint Town.
Glentoran FC is delighted to announce the appointment of Mick McDermott as Head Coach. Mick will have responsibility for all playing matters at all levels throughout the club.
History repeats itself far too often for this Glentoran team. In this case we conceded the third consecutive 90th minute winner to Cliftonville this season, having yet again failed to hold out for a deserved point We dominated the first half to have a deserved half time lead and rode out substantial Reds pressure for well over an hour but yet again indecision at the back allowed our opponents to steal a late winner and yet again send us home empty handed.

On Saturday we have our final match before the Premiership split when we make our second visit of the season to Solitude.
The PSNI have issued the following information for Glentoran fans travelling to Solitude on Saturday 30th March.
Glentoran Fans travelling by private car to Cliftonville Football Club for the Danske Premiership match with 3pm kick-off on Saturday 30th March 2019 are requested to park in the residential areas above Solitude off the Cliftonville Road, ie Cardigan Drive and Knutsford Drive etc. Motorists should consider local resident and emergency vehicle access when deciding where and how to park.
