I would just like to personally thank the Glentoran Family for their extreme generosity at yesterday's food collection for St Christopher's Church. "The Larder" was set up approx 18 months ago to collect much needed food items for the needy in East Belfast who find it a task to feed their families in recent times.
Your kindness will go a long way to helping people in East Belfast who struggle to make ends meet and put food on the table for their families in the current climate. The people you are helping have, through no fault of their own in many cases, have lost their jobs or fallen in hard times.
The Volunteers from "The Larder" managed to collect 4 full Wheelie Bins full of food and also approx £60 in their cash collecting buckets. All this food collected will be supplied to any family who contact "The Larder".
We hope to be able to continue to offer our support to "The Larder" by providing an annual collection.
