Sun, 18/05/2014 - 10:50

Dickson Chisanga is moving on from the Oval. The Seconds player has been with the club since he was 16 but feels a fresh challenge is needed.

Seconds boss Spike Hill commented, "I can see where the young lad is coming from. Dickson was the first to admit this season didn't come up to his own high standards and after 3 really good seasons he has been hard on himself but I totally respect his decision."

Spike continued, " Chisanga gave a stunning performance in the Steel & Sons Cup Final last season and nobody can fault his commitment. He made his decision weeks ago but such is charachter of the lad he trained hard for the GCT Boxing Event as he knew the cause was to raise money for his teammates and charities and to top it all after giving Jay Magee a good fight was able to break dance around the ring. I want to thank him for all that he has done for the team and the club and wish him every success in the future."
