Glentoran Football Club is delighted to announce our third signing of the forthcoming transfer window with the arrival of Darren Cole from Derry City.
Edinburgh born Darren (29) was a product of the Rangers FC Academy and made was given his first team debut by Walter Smith as a young right back in the UEFA Champions League v Bursaspor at Ibrox in December 2010. He had subsequent spells with Greenock Morton, Livingston and Broxburn Athletic before joining Derry City in June 2017. In his five seasons at the Brandywell he was mostly used at centre back and he won the League of Ireland Cup with City in 2018.
Darren joins Michael O’Connor and Sean Murray as Glens new boys and will wear the number 40 shirt.
