Chairman to oversee Maze development.

Mon, 10/09/2012 - 21:38

It has been announced today that Glentoran Chairman, Terence Brannigan will oversee the transformation of the former Maze prison site.

Speaking after his appointment, Terence had this message for Glentoran supporters. "I am delighted and privileged to have been appointed to Chair the Maze Long Kesh Development Corporation. With the Maze Long Kesh site spanning 347 acres - twice the size of Titanic Quarter - this is an opportunity to deliver real and lasting value to our region on a grand scale across a broad spectrum  - historical, reconciliation and, most especially, economic. However, please be assured that this has in no way diminished my commitment to Glentoran FC and our journey toward the delivery of our planned new stadium."

The Board of Glentoran would wish to congratulate the Chairman on his appointment to this exciting and challenging role. We would also want to thank him for his assurances to us, the fans and the team for his resolute commitment to securing the future for Glentoran FC.
