BOXING NIGHT UPDATE

Final amendments to the boxing list and running order below folks, but first a word from Eddie Patterson...

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who is attending Thursday evening’s very first Glentoran Community Trust 'White Collar Boxing' gala, and also the individuals and companies who have provided the sponsorship to enable the event to take place.

For those of you who haven't already purchased tickets I would encourage you to
please make a special effort, as I believe you can now come along and pay at the door on the night.

This function has been organised to supplement the playing budget for Glentoran FC.

As you are all well aware we have had to face consistent cuts in recent years and the funds raised on Thursday night will be very much appreciated indeed.

To the GCT, its board and members, and to all those supporting the event, thank you all. I hope that everyone concerned has a very enjoyable evening and I look forward to seeing you there.

Afriyie Acquah Shirt Up For Grabs!

Finally - Glentoran's adpoted Ghanaian son Afriyie Acquah has this evening donated his matchworn Parma shirt from this season's Italian Cup to tomorrow evening's Glentoran Community Trust fight night auction.

Acquah, aged 22, is one of the most promising players in the Italian Serie A at present and was selected on Monday for Ghana's 2014 World Cup squad. He is the most famous exponent of the Glentoran Community Trust sponsored Glentoran Football Academy based in Sunyani Ghana. It is his first ever shirt to auctioned, and he has donated it to help raise funds for the club that gave him his chance, and in turn help Glentoran continue to prosper.
We believe that this is a highly prized piece of memorabilia with a special interest to all Glentoran supporters. Based on this assessment we have placed a reserve of £200 on this item as a starting bid.
We will take online bids until 2.00pm Thursday in the run up to Thursday nights auction, the closing online bid will become the opening bid at the auction.
You can view and place a bid for any of the auction items HERE

Many thanks once again for your support.
