On Wednesday night the club hosted a meeting for the Glentoran Academy coaches and Eddie Patterson at which Eddie outlined his plans for the future of the Academy and the direction he would like to see our teams at all ages take. This wide ranging discussion included coach education, playing style and philosophy and the opportunity for the Academy players to access resources from physiotherapy to nutritional advice.
Glentoran Chairman, Terence Brannigan re-iterated the club's committment to a vibrantand successful Academy. With Dave Harbinson recently stepping down from his role as Academy Director, the Chairman highlighted that the club will be inviting applications for this position next week. In addition, a new appointment to the U17 manager's role will take place in the coming days.
This highly productive meeting is the first in a series of meetings forAcademy coaches planned for the coming season. The club would like to place on record our thanks to Dave Harbinson and we wish him well for the future.
