The Board is delighted to announce the appointment of Conor Marlin as Director, The Glentoran Academy with immediate effect.
Conor is currently working with our highly successful Second XI and is involved with the Northern Ireland international set up at both U17 and U19 level He has an MSc in Sports Management and is employed with the IFA as their NI Schools FA Development Manager. More importantly, he brings a strong commitment to the development of young talent and is a strong advocate of building skills and knowledge within an environment which has a healthy balance of fun and achievement.
As he says,”I’m really looking forward to working with the entire management and coaching teams in order to help our young players realise their full potential and to work with Eddie Patterson to provide a pipeline of talent for the first team. Glentoran is a great Club and we want to continue to create an Academy that we can all be proud of.”
We wish him well in this role which is so important for this Club and would encourage all supporters to get behind him and all involved in the Academy.
